In life, it doesn’t matter where you’re coming from. Where are you going and how are you going to get there? Aside from what you want to accomplish, what kind of a person do you want to become as the result of all your work and effort? Men and women who achieve great things in life are invariably those who give a lot of thought to their own evolution and growth. They become exceptional people by design, not by accident. They are like master craftsmen, continually shaping and polishing their characters and personalities so that they evolve and grow into someone important and worthwhile. And so should you. Such is the joy I have today, another new year on mother earth and am sure am doing just what life has mandated me to do and packaged fully to mentor many generations after me through the written and spoken word.
That is why I always say to my friends around me, “The highest goal you can have for yourself is to become an inspirational leader, to become an outstanding man or woman who is looked up to, admired and respected by the people around you”.
Inspirational leadership is the ability to uplift and inspire people to perform at their best. Personal leadership on the other hand, is the ability to motivate yourself to do the things, and be the kind of person, that make you into a motivational leader. Both are necessary for maximum performance. They are flip sides of the same coin.
The starting point of personal leadership, motivational leadership, is to begin seeing yourself as a role model, seeing yourself as an example to others. See yourself as a person who sets the standards that others follow. A great and powerful, leadership characteristic is to set high standards of accountability for themselves and for their behaviors. They assume that others are watching them and then setting their own standards by what they do. They, in fact, lead by example, just exactly as though someone were following them around, secretly taking notes and photographs of their daily actions for others to see and act on.
I like inspirational leadership, because it is based on the law of indirect effort. According to this law, most things in human life are achieved more easily by indirect means rather than by direct means. You more easily become a leader to others by demonstrating that you have the qualities of leadership, than you do by ordering others to follow your directions.
In every organization, there are people who are inordinately influential and looked up to by others, even though their positions may not be high up on the organizational chart. These are the men and women who are great leaders because of the quality of the people they have become, because of their characters and their personalities.
Perhaps the most powerful of motivational leaders is the person who practices what’s called, “servant leadership.” Confucius said, “He who would be master must be servant of all.” The person who sees himself or herself as a servant, and who does everything possible to help others to perform at their best is practicing the highest form of “servant leadership.”
The mark of true leaders is that they lead the action. They are willing to go first. They set the example and act as the role model. They do what they expect others to do.
You become an inspirational leader by inspiring yourself. And you motivate yourself by striving toward excellence, by committing yourself to becoming everything that you are capable of becoming. You motivate yourself by throwing your whole heart into doing your job in an excellent fashion. You motivate others by continually looking for ways to help them to improve their lives and achieve their goals. You become a motivational leader by becoming the kind of person that others want to get behind and support in every way. Your main job is to take complete control of your own personal evolution and become a leader in every area of your life. You could ask for nothing more, and you should settle for nothing less.
If an individual wants to succeed in life, it is imperative for him or her to have the right way of thinking. Many people have a negative and pessimistic attitude, and they don’t even realize it. Sometimes they feel like they can’t experience a higher quality of life, so they just go around with a pessimistic attitude about their life potential.
They might also believe that others around them look down on them, and feel like they are less deserving. But more than likely that is no true; it is the negative thinking and attitude of the individual making him or her feel that way. And that way of thinking is a major subconscious block to him or her moving forward and achieving goals.
In life, everyone experiences positive and negative situations, but it is how we deal with them that make all of the difference. Nobody deserves to live a pessimistic life; we all deserve to live an optimistic life, one that is positive and joy-filled. People with negative thinking have a hard time experiencing joy, because their cycle of negative thinking constantly focuses on the negative instead of the positive. So individuals must deal with negative situations with a positive way of thinking. This may take some time, but it is doable, and worth the effort. And this is where you could help bring positive change in the area of thought transformation for others.
If you feel like you are called to inspire others to develop the right way of thinking, it can have a profound impact on his or her life. Helping others to transform their wrong way of thinking into the right way of thinking, can be very empowering. It can inspire the individual to break through thinking that is blocking their success. And that can help him or her achieve goals, and get on the path to living a more joyful and optimistic life.I celebrate my birthday today and am enjoying and loving the writing and speaking,it has brought to me so much joy and fulfillment.
