Live in the service of others and help to make a positive impact on the world, people assume they should just concern themselves with their own lives earning their wage, living without contributing to making the world a better place, we are all one people, some have been given more, and some have less, so the ones who have an opportunity to help others should take the opportunity to make a difference. Life is too short to be self- centered and selfish. Our skills and gifts are not meant to make us better but to benefit the world and make this world and others better.

Helping others believe you me, is a fundamental part of humanity, bonding together and helping a fellow man or woman. In times of tragedy, the stories of those who help others are inspiring, such as helping the nation recovers from national disasters and terrorist attacks. Some men and women even devote their lives to helping other, to the fire departments who run into burning buildings, to the service men and women who risk their lives for the common good. I have had some of my best times as I helped at orphanages in training the children various sporting disciplines, the memories are precious and the experiences priceless.

Nowadays people have become so consumed by success, such that people think the world is meant only for them and it’s all about them. If you see someone around you, a family member or friend who is struggling in life, try to help them, one piece of advice can change the direction of someone’s life and change their path and take them to greater heights. Never look down upon people, who are not where they can be, we all have been at the bottom, advice is better than insults.

This is foreign and wild thinking to a culture that often sees the world as one giant competition. In their mind, there are a set number of winners and losers. And if somebody else wins, that’s one less opportunity for me. But I have come to realize the mindset of competition is based on a faulty premise. It assumes there is a finite sized pie – that one more success in another’s life equals one less success in mine. But quite frankly, this thinking is incorrect.

There is wonderful freedom and grace in realizing the size of the pie is not finite – that in reality, the pie keeps growing. Another’s success does not mean I have less opportunity. In fact, another’s success can actually be my success if I had opportunity to enable, encourage, and promote them along the way!

Consider how helping another achieve success,) results in significant benefits in a number of directions for that specific person and may impact them into many generations.

We all have been given gifts that we must utilize to create a better world, leave the world a better place then you found it, you have something special within you to offer the world. It is easy to just live the 9-5 life, but to live in the service of others is true greatness, to touch people’s lives in a positive way so that they don’t have to struggle in life, we are all capable of helping others to improve their quality of life.

Don’t start a business to just make money, start a business to make a difference that will change the world, be a game changer and be bold, there are thousands of companies that are solely focused on just accumulating the most wealth, be different and do something that will elevate you up with the some of the greats such as  Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, and Nelson Mandela. Start a business based on the vision of helping people and the money will follow, the priority is goodness, do good and g

ood will come to you in abundance.

Start small, think big, work hard and never give up. Get up and go out there and change the lives of millions of people. Believe in yourself you can do anything, one person can change the world for the better if they are determined to do so.

Our greatest successes in life are often found in helping others succeed. Our most lasting and fulfilling achievements are often earned by helping others fulfill theirs. I urge you to find your purpose in life and live a life of meaning.

As much as we love smooth waters, an Arab proverb states that smooth waters do not make skillful sailors. In this journey called life, the question is not, “Will storms arise?” Rather, the question is, “When will the next storm arise?” And even more important than that question is, “What type of person will I be when the next storm arises?” Advanced life skills are needed to navigate these sometimes treacherous waters.

“The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. It’s the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun.” -Napoleon Hill (1883-1970)

Am in Defiance mood, the Doctor came to me two days after my operation he looks at me and said,” Man we struggled with your operation it’s amazing you made it, we thought we lost you when you couldn’t come back four hours after the operation that’s why we had to put you on oxygen support.

Adversity is a great test of our courage. Courage is an attribute that God demands of us as we trek the road of life. Let us look at courage from a scriptural stand point. There are several different uses in the Scripture. Understanding these uses can help us to be more courageous in our everyday walk with the Lord, and in the face of adversities that we might have to face.

My sisters and family get worried and gravely concerned when they hear of any sicknesses, being the only son that has survived a death ridden family lost my brothers, like dry leaves falling from a tree, such thoughts at times haunt me when am hit like I have been for the past months. A friend called me this week and said, “Herbert, what is it going on with your life,” I said I don’t know, but all I know I am under siege i have survived worse than these, bring them on.

I still feel the pain in my body and Doctors keep telling me conflicting statements even today, but believe you me am not gonna go out without a serious fight, I still have too much to offer in me I gotta be empty than die full. I remember attending my brothers’ burials and memorials, I could tell beyond the eyes of the elderly looking at me wondering what might be going through, my mind or thinking if I was ready to be next. My brothers died pretty young some having not reached 40 years, so eyes begin to wonder when they hear about Herb sick in bed.

My dad died full of life and years, am sure I can be hit left right and center but I am a champion am still here to speak as one of Africa’s freshest voice, am not afraid of death but am not going anywhere nah not now. I am not ready to be manure for trees hell no, The King is still around…I have survived recently accidents, robberies and attacks on my body but hey am good to go, my name is Herbert. It’s been a crazy moment yeah, am rolling up my sleeves and take another lick and another punch but the King still has something to say..

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. I like this quote on eagles,” Eagles do not love storms, but they do take advantage of the strong winds associated with storms, as well as “updrafts” coming off hills and mountains. This helps them to gain altitude and set them up for a long, soaring flight to another location, especially when they migrate great distances north or south.”

When the storms of life come upon us – and all of us will experience them believe you me I can testify to that – we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God’s power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

I am not afraid neither is the time t afraid I have so much to look up to. I still have lots of pages to my life`s chapters not yet written. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down; it is how we handle them. This quote will change your mind set to life, “You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.” -― Mandy Hale,-
